PathOfNeo is a free resource that helps students find AI tools worth their time, and learn to use them without outsourcing their own thinking.

What we do

We review AI tools against a single question: can a student actually get value from this for coursework, revision or research? That is a different question from the one most software directories ask, and it produces different answers.

How we review

Every tool page carries a “last reviewed” date, because AI products change faster than almost any other software category. When we have not yet checked a tool against its official website, we say so on the page rather than leaving you to guess.

We distinguish a genuinely free plan from a free trial. A trial that expires in seven days is not free, and labelling it that way wastes your time.

How we make money

Everything on PathOfNeo is free to read. There is no account, no paywall and no newsletter you must join to see a tool page. Where we use an affiliate link, it is disclosed on that page. We do not sell listings, and paying us cannot get a tool reviewed more favourably.

On using AI honestly

We treat AI as a study assistant, not a way around studying. Our guides cover how to check what a model tells you, and where using one would breach your institution’s rules. Your academic integrity policy always outranks anything you read here.
