Review this page before launch. It describes how this site behaves by default. If you add analytics, advertising, affiliate tracking or an email newsletter, you must update it to match what you actually do.

What we collect

You do not need an account to read anything on this site, and we do not ask you to create one. Browsing PathOfNeo does not require you to give us any personal information.

Contact and suggestion forms

If you use a form on this site, we receive what you type into it, including your email address if you provide one. We use it to reply to you and for nothing else. Form submissions are emailed to our editors; tool suggestions are also stored as unpublished drafts in our editorial system.

The newsletter

Subscribing is entirely optional. Nothing on this site is hidden behind it, and you never need an account to read anything.

If you subscribe we store your email address, the date you signed up, and which page the signup came from. We use double opt-in: your address is held as unconfirmed until you click a link in a confirmation email, so nobody can be added to the list without asking. If you never confirm, the entry stays unconfirmed and is never emailed again.

The list is stored on this site’s own server. We do not sell, rent or share it, and we do not use it to build a profile of you. Every email we send carries a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to delete your address entirely using the contact form.

Prefer not to give an email address at all? Every section of this site publishes an RSS feed, which requires nothing from you and tells us nothing about you.

To limit spam we temporarily store a one-way hash of your IP address for one hour. The hash cannot be reversed to recover the address, and it is deleted automatically.

Cookies

This site sets no tracking cookies of its own. WordPress may set a cookie if you leave a comment or log in as an editor.

Links to other sites

Tool pages link out to the products we review. Once you follow a link, that company’s privacy policy applies, not ours. Where a link is an affiliate link, we say so on the page it appears on.

Your rights and contact

You can ask us what we hold about you and ask us to delete it. Use the contact form and we will respond.
